BTS now have more than a decade of official releases, plus a full-group chapter that resumed after every member completed South Korea’s mandatory military service in 2025. You do not need to “catch up” in order. Start with a feeling, then follow official work.
BTS Insight is independent and is not affiliated with BTS, BIGHIT MUSIC, HYBE, Weverse, or Ticketmaster. If this page and an official notice disagree, follow the official source. Last editorial update: 27 August 2026.
Start with a feeling, not a checklist
Choose the mood you actually want this week: reflective, high-energy, playful, or cinematic. Listen to a few official tracks in that lane. Then follow whatever pulls you — an album, a live stage, a member’s solo release, or credits on the official release page.
There is no required first song. People arrive through different eras, languages, and formats. That is normal.
Where 2026 fits
The group’s fifth studio album, ARIRANG, was released on 20 March 2026. The current world tour, BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’, opened on 9 April 2026. If you are entering now, that album and the official live clips from this tour are a fair present-tense starting point. They do not erase earlier work; they sit on top of it.
Earlier studio albums and anthologies still matter if a sound from those years is what you like. Use them as a second lane, not as homework.
Use official channels as your map
For titles, dates, video premieres, and schedules, start here:
- Official BTS site (ibighit)
- BTS on Weverse
- BANGTANTV
- BIGHIT MUSIC tour calendar
- BTS WORLD TOUR ARIRANG official site
- Ticketmaster artist page (BTS)
Fan conversation can add context. It cannot replace a date, a title, or a ticket platform. If a clip is cropped, find the official upload before you treat it as the whole work.
A simple first weekend
- One studio listening session — an album or a short official playlist, start to finish.
- One official music video on BANGTANTV.
- One full live performance, watched twice: once for the whole song, once for a single detail.
Write one sentence after each. Those notes become your personal map.
Then widen without rushing
When you want member-level starting points, use the guides on this site rather than ranking lists:
Source habit: keep dates and titles exact, separate confirmed facts from your own reaction, and link the original page whenever you share.
A first official music video to try
If you want one present-tense place to start, here is the official music video for “2.0,” a track from ARIRANG (2026). Watch it once without pausing, then write one sentence about what stayed with you.

Use this guide in one sitting
- Start with one official group track or performance that already interests you.
- Choose one member page only after that first listen, rather than trying to memorize all seven at once.
- Use official channels to verify names, dates, and current notices.
- Save one question or detail to explore later instead of opening many tabs at once.
Good next stops
A first week with BTS works best when it feels like exploration, not homework. Follow the music that catches your attention and use the rest of the site as reference.
